Hi there fellow online entrepreneur...

Last years "Best Internet Business Tool Award" went to Mike Filsaime and his Amazing Butterfly-Marketing script. Now I still love this software and keep on using it to this very day. In fact my latest project I.M.S.A. was built on this platform.

You'll be hearing a lot more from me in 2008 about I.M.S.A. My suggestion to you is to take a quick peek around and then take up the FREE trial in January to help get your 2008 of to a cracking start!

But for now let's get to the award for Best Internet Business Tool in 2007. Although I have many software tools and services that I own or subscribe to, I have just three foundations that my entire business runs on.

• These three foundations ARE all that anyone needs to get started online.
• These three foundations ARE all a MUST if you want to build a long term successful business.
• These three foundations ARE all highly scalable and will grow with your business

Other Than This Then You Will Not Go Far Wrong!"

In a nut shell the ONLY things you need to make money online are:

1. Some software that builds web pages for you
2. Some software that runs your website for you
3. Some software that manages your list for you

Lets take a quick look at the website builder first.

Yes you can get free software but don't ask me about the support and bug fixes or the over all training on how to use the free stuff...Remember this you are potentially building a multi-million pound/dollar business - Do you really think the right thing to do is to build it with free software...?

Yes you can use things like Dreamweaver or Frontpage but those are designed for the techie people who like to build flashy whizzy sites.

I like to keep things simple and the best way to do that is to use something that was built from the ground up with the end user in mind. People like YOU & me.

And these is only one choice for this and that's XSITE PRO. This is by far the best software out there specifically designed for "Online Marketers".

I always like to say, "If you can use Microsoft Word you can build great looking websites." I'll come back to Xsite Pro in a second but for now...

Lets take a quick look at the list builder.

Literally there are hundreds of service providers (again some free but the same rules apply!). I use three in particular: Aweber, 1 Shopping Cart & Get Response. Now here's the thing, you only need one of these right now. In truth you may only ever use one, possibly two. It just depends on how you decide to runs things as your business grows.

What you must realise, is that any of these three will be good for you right now. My personal favourite is Aweber. It's what I started out with and it's what I know best. I love this service and I know you will too. It's so simple to use.

Finally the third piece of the foundation to a successful online business.

Naturally you will need a place to host your website businesses. I use Host Gator. The reason being is two fold.

1. They offer a great service, especially the support. And
2. They are CHEAP!

Actually I don't like the word "cheap" as it often implies an inferior product or service, which couldn't be further from the truth. Let's say they are "Cost Effective". One of the reasons for this is that for a very low monthly fee you can have as many websites as you like on one account!
